Bail Application Submitted Behalf Of Former President's Imprisoned Son And Four Others Was Dismissed By The Court

The Bail Application submitted by Attorney's behalf of imprisoned son of former president Yoshitha Rajapakshe and four others who are in Prison for money laundering charge was dismissed by Colombo High Court Judge A.A.R Heyyanthuduwa this morning.

Former President Mahinda Rajapakshe and his Attorney's had filed the bail application behalf of Yoshitha Rajapaskhe and four others who are in prison on 17th of February.

The Case against five accused is due to be taken up for hearing on 08th of March.

When the bail application for the five accused for money laundering charge taken up for consideration former president Mahinda Rajapaskhe has arrived in Colombo High Court by wearing a black coat wear  by Lawyers,

Former President's Son Yoshitha Rajapakshe Has Suspended From Naval Service

According to the directive of Defense Ministry ,Sri Lanka Navy have today(29) suspended the former president Mahinda Rajapakshe's Imprisoned Son Yoshitha Rajapakshe from naval service.with effect from yesterday (28).

Yoshitha Rajapakshe who holds Lieutenant  Post in Sri Lanka Navy has suspended from Service according to the Directive made by Defense Ministry after considering the request made by Police Financial Crimes Investigations Division in order to make the ongoing investigations on him regarding money laundering charge independent it has been reported.

Sri Lanka Navy have said as per the Navy Pay Code of 1982 Yoshitha's Salary  and Allowances will be deprived with immediate effect following  the service suspension .He(Yoshitha) will be barred from entering any Naval Base in the Country without  the approval of Navy Headquarters the Navy have said..

At present former president's son Yoshitha along with four others are in prison for money laundering charge.

Rat Population In Colombo City Is On The Increase-Urban Council

According to a survey carried out by Colombo Urban Council the Rat Population in the City Of Colombo is  increasing rapidly  according to Urban Council Authorities.Due to this situation there's a threat of spreading diseases related to rats in the city authorities  warned.

Fort,Maradana and Borella are identified as the places in Colombo City  where the Rat Population increasing  rapidly at present authorities have said.

There's a Programme implemented by Colombo Urban Council providing free service to destroy rats based in houses and institutions and the residents living  within Colombo City Limits can get this  service by dialing 0112 593 550 the Urban Council has announced.

Government Leaders Are Delaying Giving Employment Opportunities For Unemployed Graduates-Unemployed Graduates Union

Government Leaders are continuously delaying giving employment opportunities for unemployed graduates by citing various reasons according to Unemployed Graduates Union.

The Union has stated through a press release that although 13 days have now completed for the continuous "Satyagraha" Campaign launched in Colombo by  a group of Unemployed Graduates demanding employment for all unemployed graduates and preparing an annual scheme for recruiting unemployed graduates for employment, government still not able to respond the  request positively,

No programme has been implemented in the country  to recruit unemployed graduates for  employment since 31st of March 2012 the Unemployed Graduates Union has said.
