Around 35 Persons Have Been Admitted To Kaththankudy Hospital Due To A Food Poisoning

Around 35 persons including women and children have been admitted to the Kaththankudy Hospital in Batticloe District today(20) due to a food poisoning according to the Police.

The victims are residents of Kaththankudy Area.Kaththankudy Police are conducting an investigations on the incident.

Galle Harbor Police Have Arrested A Man In Connection With Sexually Molesting A Canadian Girl In Galle

The Galle Harbor Police have today(20) arrested a 27 year old man in connection with sexually molesting  a 25 year old Canadian Girl at a Holiday Resort in Thanipolgaha,Galle(In Southern Province) .

The suspect who had falsely introduced himself to the Canadian Girl as a Tourist Guide ,had taken her to the resort and raped her according to the Police.

The suspect has been arrested after the victim has lodged a complaint at Galle Harbor Police and he is due to be produced before Galle Court tomorrow(21).

Four Buddhist Monks Who Had Surrendered To The Homagama Police Have Been Remanded Until 01st Of March

The Homagama Magistrate has today(20) remanded four Buddhist Monks who had surrendered to the Police in connection with the violent protests held in front of Homagama Magistrate Court on 26th of January, until 01st of March.

The four Buddhist Monks namely  Biyagama Suseema Thero, Matuwagala Dhammasiri Thero ,Kirama Devinda Thero and Pitigala Dhamma Vinetha Thero who had acted violently in front of Magistrate Court recently over the imprisonment of Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thero  have been surrendered to the Homagama Police yesterday (19) evening and they were produced before the Homagama Magistrate Court today.

Two Killed And One Got Injured Due To A Motor Bicycle Accident Occurred At Jaffna-Mannar Road

Two Persons have been killed and One got injured as a Motor Bicycle travelling in Jaffna-Mannar Road today(20) veered off the road and crashed into a tree according to the Police.

The deceased two  have died after admission  to the Mannar Hospital and the  injured person has been currently  receiving treatment at the same hospital.

According to the Police the Motor Bicycle Rider who was  travelling towards Mannar  had lost control of the Bike which resulted in the accident.
