Employees Budget Draft Bill Was Submitted To The Parliament
The Employees Budget Draft Bill which proposes increasing the salaries of Private Sector Employees by Rs.2500 and other reliefs to the Private Sector Employees was submitted to the Parliament yesterday(10) by Minister of Labor John Seneviratne.However the Trade Unions representing the National Labor Advisory Board have said that they could not agree some provisions including in the Bill.
Some Trade Unions have already decided to file two petitions at Supreme Court soon over certain provisions in the Employees Budget Draft Bill.
Imprisoned Former Chief Minister Pillayan Has Been Further Remanded Over A Murder Of EX-MP
The imprisoned Former Chief Minister of Eastern Province Sivanasathurai Chandrakanthan allias Pillayan who had been arrested and remanded over the murder of Ex- MP Joseph Pararajasingham has been further remanded yesterday(10) until 24th of February.The former chief minister Pillayan has been remanded further over the killing after being produced before Batticloe Magistrate Court yesterday.
The suspect has been arrested after he arrived at the Criminal Investigations Division(CID) to give a statement regarding the murder of Ex MP Pararajasinghan.
