Magisterial Inquiry Regarding Floating Armory Case Has Been Terminated
The Magisterial Inquiry regarding the floating armory case of Avant Guarde Maritime Services Private Limited has been terminated after the Criminal Investigations Department(CID) has informed the court that it will not proceed the case under the advise of Attorney General.Last Week the Galle Magistrate Court has lifted the foreign travel ban imposed on former defense secretary Gotabaya Rajapakshe over the floating armory case.
Early this year the police have seized more than 3000 weapons in 20 containers through the armory run by Avant Guarde Maritime Services Private Limited and docked in Galle Harbor.

The new Minister Of Sports Dayasiri Jayasekere has said today (07) the National Sports Policy of Sri Lanka will be implemented within next two years in view of developing local sports industry.After assumed his duties as the Sports Minister at the Ministry of Sports today,Minister Jayasekere has stressed that he will take steps to conduct the delayed elections of all Sports Bodies.

Bribery Commission Will Not Be Dissolved-President's Media Unit
No decision has been taken up to now to dissolve the Bribery Commission as reported by some media institutions according to the President's Media Unit.The President's Media Unit has denied the reports published in some newspapers stating the Bribery Commission will be dissolved within this week.
The establishing of the Bribery Commission and appointing and removing of it's members should be done under the 19th Amendment the media unit has said,
