Pro LTTE Supporters Attacked Sri Lankan Embassy In Netherlands


Pro LTTE Supporters in Netherlands attacked the Sri Lankan Embassy there last night by using Beer Bottles.
The Windows of the Office Room of Sri Lankan Ambassador Mrs.Ashirvadan broken due to this attack and the Ambassador called Police after the Incident.
Dutch Police now providing Police Protection to the Sri Lankan Embassy and Ambassador Mrs.Ashirvadan is planning to complaint this incident to the Dutch Foriegn Secretary.Prior to this attack the Sri Lankan Embassies in Norway,India and Canada also faced similar attacks from the pro LTTE Supporters.

Sri Lankan Ground Forces Entering Into LTTE Hold New Safe Zone

Sri Lankan ground forces today captured another Earth Bund built by LTTE in the Wadduwakal causeway in Northern Sri Lanka by entering into the 2.5 Square Kilo Meter Area of the New Safe Zone occupied by the rebels.

59th Division of the Sri Lankan Army captured the above area.Troops are now advancing 300 Meters further towards LTTE Defences.

Meanwhile Army Spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said in today's Press Briefing in Colombo that around One Hundrad Eighty Eight Thousand Five Hundred(188,500) Civilians so far escaped from the Rebel Held Area and came to Government Held Area.

Around Twenty Essential Cancer Drugs were out of Stock at the Only State Owned Cancer Hospital of Sri Lanka the "Maharagama Cancer Hospital" these days Hospital Sources said.Cancer Patients are facing hardships due to this Drug Shortage Sources added.

Cisplatinum,Carboplatinam and Anesterole are among these Out of Stock Drugs and people have to spend around 400-500 Rupees per Tablet to purchase some of these Drugs according to the Oncologists.Cancer Hospital Authorities asked from Philanthropists to help these patients to purchase these requitred Drugs.

Pro-LTTE Supporters Attacked And Damaged International Buddhist Centre In Paris

The International Buddhist Centre in Paris was attacked yesterday (Sunday) by an unknown people believed to be Pro-LTTE Supporters and Severely damaged to the Building Sri Lankan Foriegn Ministry said today(11).

Attackers have been broken all the front window panes and caused Severe Damage to the Centre which is the Main Buddhist Temple of the Sri Lankan Buddhist Community in France Ministry further added.Pro LTTE Supporters in western countries began to attack Sri Lankan Property in those countries especially the Embassies opposing the Sri Lankan Government's offensive against the LTTE.

LTTE Military Spokesman Critically Injured Due To An Attack

The Military Spokesman of the LTTE Irasiah Illanthirayan has sustained Heavy Injuries during an attack in the Sri Lanka's New Safe Zone on Sunday.LTTE Media said he was injured due to an attack launched by Sri Lankan Military yesterday.

Ilanthirayan reported as not spoken to the media from sometime.

New Safe Zone In The North Came Under Shell Attack Killing 300 Ciivilians


The New Safe Zone in Mulativue District of Northern Sri Lanka Came under Shell Attack today killing around 300 Civilians in the Zone according to the News Sources.

Sri Lankan Army and the LTTE blaming each other over the attack and Army says that they are not using heavy weapons for the current offensives against LTTE in the Safe Zone since two weaks.There are also reports that LTTE Cadres wearing Civilian Uniforms launched attacks by staying among the Civilians.

Sri Lankan Government Expelled Four British Journalists Over Telecasting False News Item

Sri Lankan Government Arrested and expelled Four British Journalists attached to the ITN Channal-4 News from the Country today claiming they were broadcast a news piece through their Channal tarnishing the Image of Sri Lankan Army Perssonal.

Expelled Journalists who are producing the News Items for Channal-4 News filmed an IDP Camp in Vavuniya on 5th of May containing allegations on Sexual Abuse and Food and water Shortage in the Camp which the Sri Lankan Authorities have been denied.

Sri Lankan Authorities arrested Channal -4 Correspondent Nick Paton Walsh ,Producer Bessie Du and Cameraman Matt Jaspher yesterday and asked them to leaving the Country.They left the country today.Meanwhile Foreign Office of London today expressed their Deep Dissapointment over the expulsion of these Journalists.
