Sri Lankan Troops Liberated The Southern Elephant Pass-Captured Kilali And Muhamalai Defence Lines Too


Sri Lankan Troups who Entered the Elephant Pass Yesterday Liberated the Southern Part of Elephant Pass and Captured
the Kilali and Muhamalai Forward Defense lines in the Jafna Peninisula this Evening.These are the Only Defense lines Remained with the LTTE in Jafna After they were Militarily Defeated from there.Sri Lankan Troops Are Advancing Ahead Security Sources said.

Chikungunya a Viral Fever Transmitted through the Dengue Insects "Eadis Egipty" and "Eadis AlboPicktus" is Spreading in The Moneragala District of the Uva Province-Sri Lanka These days According to the Epidemiology Unit.Around 1300 Chikungunya Patients have been Reported within One Month Period from Badalkumbura,dehithigama,thanthanna and Laggala areas in the District Epedeimiologists Stressed.50-60 Patients are Daily come to the Monaragala Base Hospital for getting Treatment These days.High Fever Lasted Four Days,Headache,Rash spreading Throughout the Body,Muscle and Body Pain are the Main Symptoms of the Chikungunya and Doctors Appealed from the Patients to take Medication from a Registered Government Doctors when Symptoms are Appeared.
Meanwhile The Chief Medical Officer of the Colombo District Pradeep Kariyawasem says that People in the Other Parts of the Country too need to Aware on the Disease as it may spread to other parts as well. .In January Last year Around 18 Chikungunya Patients Were reported from the Colombo District when the Dissese was Spreading in the Ratnapura District at that time.Destroying the Mosquito Breeding Places by Cleaning the Houses and Gardens is the only Measure can be taken to Prevent the Spreading of the Dissese He Urged.
