National Day Of Safety To Commemorate Tsunami Victims Falls Today


National Day of Safety falls Today(26).A two minute silence obtained today between 9.25 to 9.27 a.m to commemorate those who were killed due to the Natural Disasters.Exactly Four Years ago a day like today in 26th of December 2005 , Tsunami Struck the Indian Ocean Nations including that of Sri Lanka.Thousands were killed and disappeared and large number of people were Displaced after their houses were washed away due to the Sea waves of the TSUNAMI.

Action Can Be Taken Against The Government Docs Prescribed Medicine From Trade Names If Complained-DGHS


Action Can Taken against the Government Hospital Doctors who are Prescribing Drugs In Trade Name Instead of the Generic Name if the Patients are Complained On it Director General Of Health Services(DGHS)Dr.Ajith Mendis Said Today(26).Due to the Silence of the Patients Regarding this Issue Hospital Doctors are Continuously Prescribing Drugs by Trade Name He Stressed.Health Ministry Announced Last year that all the Government Hospital Doctors Should Prescribed Drugs from the Generic Name Effect from 01St Of January this year.
Meanwhile Health Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva too Appealed from All the Sri Lankan Doctors to Prescribe Medicine From the Generic Name Instead of Brand Name."I have no other Option then appealing them to do so and if they won't Respond to it Positively what Else I Can Do? Questioned by the Minister.He further said that All the Sections have accusing him for not Implementing the Professor Seneka Bibile's Drug Policy and the Trade Unions who are Behind these Accusations should realized that the Minister Can't Do it alone.Now most People are Grabbed the Prof.Bibile's Policy as their own Minister Charged.

Education Ministry Decided To Conduct The Confused O/Level Maths -2 Paper Again


Education Ministry Today)((24) Instructed the Examinations Commissioner to Conduct a New Syllabus Maths-2 Paper Examination Again.There is a confusion among the students who sat for this year's G.C.E Ordinery Level Exam after Two Questions based on the Old Syllabus were included in the New Syllabus Maths-2 Paper.Large number Of Teachers Unions Demanding the Education Minister Susil Prem Jayantha To Cancelled the Above Paper and conduct a Test again for that paper.These Trade Unions Warned if the government failed act on this they will Take this Problem to the Courts.However the Education Minister kept on saying that the Sujected Maths Paper will not cancelled and Justice will done to the Students when papers are marking.

Gyneacologists Urged The Need Of Reducing The Growing Number Of Ceaserian Operations In Sri Lanka


An Action will be taken to Reduced the Growing Number of Ceaserian Operations performed within the Two Government owned Maternity Hospitals Due to The High Expenditure on them The Head of the Professorial Unit of the De Soyza Maternity Hospital Professor C.Randeniya Said Today(24) .According to The Statistics Around 725 Ceaserian Operations Performed Monthly at the De Soyza and the Castle Street Hospitals in Colombo and Some out of the 250 Ceaserians at the
De Soyza Hospital are Performed Due to the Requests made by the Pregnant Mothers.Government is Spending Around Rs 50,000 Per Ceaserian Operation and the Expenditure is Mounting Due to the Number of These Operations are on Increase Prof.Randeniya stressed.Considering This situation Steps should be taken to Make Awareness among the Mothers of the Affects Of the Ceaserian Operations Like Risk Of Death and Bleeding.
Health Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva too said that there is a need to Reduced the Number of Ceaserian Operations Due To The High Cost. This was Revealed at the opening of the Newly Build Operation Theater of the Soyza Hospital.

Exactly A weak a Go The Supreme Court Ordered to Reduced the Petrol Litre To Rs.100.But It is sad that the Government still not able to Implement that Court Order by Reducing the Petrol Litre of the Government Owned Ceylon Petroleum Corporation(CPC).The Petrol Stations belongs to the CPC Are still selling the Petrol Litre for Rs.122.However Indian Oil Lanka Company Reduced the Price to Rs.100 as directed by the Supreme Court.There are Large Vehicle Quau seen in front of the Indian Oil Lanka owned Filling stations these days due To their Price Reduction.
